The Texas A&M Aggies start off strong with an easy win against Arkansas State as they continue their bid for a BCS game spot.....
>Appropriate for this weekend<
They lost, yes lost to a small school in Jonesboro, AR. Want to know how big of an athletic program they have? Please judge now: http://www.astateredwolves.com/
Katie and I have had many a conversation over the years about the Aggies and our football curse. The 90's are over and the Southwest Conference is now dead; so is the A&M defense along with a chance at a winning season. http://www.aggieathletics.com/ has the latest news for Aggie sports. A well maintained news source that cannot help but post the truth about our hype football team. I opened up the Dallas Morning News last week to find the Big 12 South spread on the season. Texas Tech is now a threat to basically any team now that their defense is closer to matching their incredible passing offense. Of course, the Texas and Oklahoma expectations are high and all of the above have BCS dreams. There was Texas A&M at the bottom of the Big 12 South list with the only sure win to be against Baylor, which actually has beaten us a handful of times in recent years. Mike Sealock will actually be able to heckle me with his Oklahoma State Cowboy talk.
Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that the Aggies have a curse that is similar to the Red Sox's and their long drought of a pennet. Just like the Red Sox, the Aggies will break your heart everytime. There is no fan base that is more passionate than the A&M 12th man.
I was speaking with Kamps, Aggie Class of before you were born, the manager of Rockwall Cycling, and he explained that no school in North America has more resources, more money, more passionate a fan base, or more top national recruits than Texas A&M University's football team. Do not try to argue that U. Miami (Fl.) has more money, or that Tennessee has more fans, or that Notre Dame has more tradition. I won't except it. I'm on a roll in my own self pity due to awesome potential that our team has to do well in any season, but we lack the pazzaze to get it done.
So, we will have another season of Drahiem and other Texas fans not even mentioning the Aggies as a threat. That is what is truly hard to swallow... We have the University of Texas in our fight song because they are our biggest rivals dating back to dawn of modern time. Now Texas has other rivals to deal with that actually can play. The Red River Showdown during the State Fair is the biggest rivalry of the Big 12 South because it is actually a close game each year.
God Bless 'n Gig 'Em!

First of all ...
"Do not try to argue that U. Miami (Fl.) has more money, or that Tennessee has more fans, or that Notre Dame has more tradition. I won't except it."
You don't have to except it but if deductive logic was your favorite college course, you'll soon find that it's all true. No argument required.
And there will be no match for my Irish or the Sooner program you forgot to mention when it comes to National Championships.
But I love ya and you did request the appropriate WAV file to wrap up the cloak of failure that the Aggie football program is draped in - so here it is ... I think it says it all - especially in crappy team sports context:
