Buddy Run & Dog Park

Today was the final long run before the big day, the race of the White Rock Marathon. We have several team members that are participating in the event. Three of us on the team decided to have a 10 mile run together in Fate, Texas. Similar to an earlier post on November 23rd. I am really excited about the marathon next weekend. My body feels good with no major injuries or pains. I do have aches here and there, as well as my knees that I always want to give attention. I ice my knees every night, or almost every night. Stretching is a big part of preventing injury for me. That is why I enjoy the rug in front of our tv so much. ON WARD...

So here is the video from today, December 6th.

Also of note today, Katie and I had an awesome trip with the dogs, Hammer and Castor. We took them to the park where a softball field allows them to be set free and RUN! It was a good time, but I must admit beforehand that we need more footage. All the same, you can still recognize the absolute speed of those greyhounds.

So there it is...I'll admit, I'm starting to get addicted to Windows Movie Maker... I cannot imagine how addicted I would be if I got an iMac. Oh, how awesome that would be... that would be one super cool day.

I really enjoyed my day with my beautiful wife, Katie Self. She provided a huge awesome breakfast for the runners that was ready when we got home. Thanks! We also took that dog park trip together and went to Lowe's & Linens 'n Things!!! Seriously, it was cool because we got everything on our list in a timely manner. Thanks for coming to the Billy Self website...

So I'm a bit behind on my blog reading. Missed the dog video - excellent - definitely need more greyhound video.

One request - next time you choose to add metal music to your video, please consult the Ambassador of Rock first. I had one in mind for your bad arse dogs running ... Train of Consequences by Megadeth.

Rock on.
